I can’t logically explain why i love Lucca .
It is not one single thing, it is a combination of many elements.
Lucca slowly infiltrates your heart …..
And before you know it, you are besotted and dreaming of Lucca.
Maybe in some weird way it reminds me of home? I think it is a feeling , not so much a visual aspect but the visual aspect of Lucca is DIVINE!
Lucca is a bundle of contradictions, it’s a city but it’s not if that makes sense.
It can be busy but also strangely peaceful .
Lucca is friendly but you can also feel that reserve, like she is hiding her secrets from you.

Lucca is simply wonderful, it’s a real place and it’s not rushed and you aren’t pushing hordes of tourists out-of-the-way .
Even if one day is particularly busy, you go down a side street and you will be alone.
By 4 pm, most tourists have got back on their buses or on the train to Firenze ……
If that hasn’t clinched things for you , this will!!
NO McD’s inside the walls…
That ‘s right NO McD’s, no KFC or any of those chains.
Sadly there is outside the walls but that is another story for another day
